Joining a game

Before you can join a new game, you first have to create an account. Click "signup" on the main page to create an account.

Voidwars only requires your browser to play, however only Internet Explorer 7, Opera 9+, Firefox 2+ and Safari are officially supported. If you are using a different browser then Voidwars may not function as expected.

To signup, enter your e-mail address (used to send your password), your login name (this is just the name you use to login and is not shown to anyone) and your Player name (this name is displayed on the main forums, a different name can be used for each game). Once signed up, your password will be e-mailed to you and you can login.

A trial game is always available once logged in, this game resets weekly and will allow you to try out the games features before playing in a regular game. Regular games begin once a month.

You can only join a regular game during a short time frame, the sign-up: After it has opened and before all the slots have filled up. The developers or devs will then start the game after having sent a notification email to all participating players. If you register during an ongoing game, you will have to wait for the next round or just try out the trial game until then.

Important: If you want to get an email alert when a new sign-up is about to start, there has to be a tick in the box for "Send me emails notifying me of game starts" under the menu item "Prefs" on the main page to receive any notification emails!
