Game 10
From VoidWiki
Game 10 (titled: "Get Along, Try Again") was very similar to Game 9, but fixed an exploitable bug that was heavily abused in Game 9 which allowed all ships to move at the speed of a probe for a fraction of the normal fuel cost. The title of Game 10 (a quote from the "Slayers" anime series) reflected the hope that it would not suffer a fate similar to that of Game 9.

Major Conflicts
As usual, two major factions dominated the political stage in Game 10. While one group consisted of mostly German-speaking players and created the alliances of GDI and NOD, the opposing force formed around a less aggressive Australian and US-American group of players with their main alliance Thanks for all the fish!. As far as player group distribution is concerned, it was a very typical Voidwars round.
The GDI perspective
No formal alliances existed in the beginning, but soon it was obvious that most empires outside the German-speaking sphere of influence were busy forming non-aggression-pacts, mutual protection alliances and the like. Occasional member transfers between the two largest alliances back then (Starchaser and Thanks for all the Fish!) further added to the disconcertment. It was during this cold-war atmosphere that Thanks for all the Fish! declared war on an infamous expansionistic Klingon empire, causing its allies to form up in the Galactic Defensive Initiative, GDI, and the smaller Brotherhood of NOD.

Course of events
While Thanks for all the Fish! and its auxiliaries were more in numbers, GDI/NOD had the larger individual players. The overall population edge of GDI/NOD never was broken, so the game ended with GDI/NOD as the two top alliances and GDI/NOD members dominating the top5 empire population. Thanks for all the fish! and the mostly small Starchaser empires suffered most while a good deal of neutral/isolationistic empires survived the round without getting involved into any serious conflict. Since the alliance war was decided rather soon with most Thanks for all the Fish! players resigning, Game 10 was ended quite early.
The Art of War
Game 10 saw an increase in Laser Capital ship resource costs compared to Game 9, but Capitals still dominated the Void once they were available. However, several successful Wasp kamikaze attacks on enemy Capitals were reported, leading to increased production of Wasps towards the end of the round.
